New e-mail address!
I am sick of getting 200+ spam messages a day and not even being able to skim them to see my five or six MySpace and LJ alerts... I am also fucking sick of using web-based Outlook hideous bullshit. Back to a POP client for me. Thanks GMail!

You may find this useful. The email standard allows for the plus (+) character to be used. The way it works is like this. If you give someone derrickblair+foobar@gmail.com, the email systems ignore the "+foobar" portion. It's basically a comment embedded in your email address. Or a way of having infinitely many email addresses. If you use Gmail's available features of being able to send email under a different address, Labels, and Filters, you can keep all your email organized from here to eternity. If for some reason another person's email system won't let them use the plus (even though it should) you can also create another Gmail account and set it to automatically forward mail to your actual account.
